The Early Childhood Department of the Partnership for Jewish Life and Learning provides support and consultation services to Jewish preschools in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area.  To fulfill  mission to enhance early childhood Jewish education,  provide information and referrals to parents of preschoolers.  Parents often contact  for suggestions when choosing a preschool, learning about effective parenting techniques, establishing Jewish traditions for their families, finding external support services for suspected or diagnosed special needs, determining possible placements for kindergarten and beyond, and researching continuing Jewish educational opportunities for themselves and their children.  
Program Post 
A monthly newsletter advertising workshops open to the public on pertinent parenting issues and recommending books to read with children about pertinent Jewish topics.

Preschool Roster
An up-to-date list of all the Jewish preschools in our area including addresses, directors’ names, and phone numbers.  

Celebrating Shabbat
An audio cassette tape and accompanying brochure of the traditional Shabbat blessings and rituals, available for $12.00.   Contact Paula to purchase a tape.

Celebrate In Your Home - coming soon
A newsletter published 4 – 5 times per year explaining the reasons, rituals and traditions of the Jewish holidays and suggesting ways to make the holidays a special part of your home for yourself and your preschooler.  Subscriptions available.  Contact Miriam Feinberg, mfeinberg@pjll.org. 

Center for Judaic and Educational Resources
Library has an extensive collection of books, CDs, and videos that parents can borrow free of charge to share with their children.  The resources help to explore the Jewish holidays, lifecycle events, and values.  Call 240-283-6311 for hours.

Day Schools and Congregational Schools
A list of Jewish day schools and supplementary schools in our area indicates the realm of possibilities open to parents committed to enhancing their children’s Jewish identity.
