A program offered by the Washington DCJCC provides volunteer opportunities for adults, students, and families; volunteer opportunities include: tutoring or mentoring, working with the elderly, low income children, homeless population, preparing food for the homeless, visiting hospitalized children, community gardening, shelter construction and repair programs. Large community annual programs include MLK Day of Service, Spring Into Action, Everything...But the Turkey and December 25th Day of Service.
 
Internships for college students in the field of media relations, fundraising, event planning and marketing are also available.  The Center Corps Volunteer Program is for adults volunteers in exchange for JCC membership. For every 18 hours of volunteering, person gets one free month of membership.
