Program/Service Notes:

Pirkei Avot tells us to "set a fixed time for your study of Torah". The DC Beit Midrash is a great opportunity to make Jewish learning a part of your regular schedule. 
If you have been wanting to incorporate Jewish study into your life, you can find a chevruta/partner and pick from the rich variety of Jewish texts, whether you are interested in Bible/Tanach, Mishna, Talmud, Midrash, philosophy, or something else.  Texts are available in Hebrew or English.  In addition, a member of the community leads a session on the weekly Torah portion at the beginning of each meeting. 
Refreshments are available, and individuals are on hand to help with texts and answer questions. 
This program is tuition-free and open to the public: individuals at all levels are welcome. 
Co-sponsor, The DC Minyan,  is a traditional egalitarian minyan that meets at the 16th Street J on Shabbat mornings, the first and third Shabbat of every month, and for selected holidays and special events.
