Program/Service Notes:

Compeer of Montgomery Co. was created with the purpose of reducing the loneliness and isolation that often accompany mental illness. The program pairs volunteers in one-on-one friendship relationships with people who are recovering from severe mental illness.

This is a program of Threshold Services is a nonprofit, direct-care provider for people with severe mental illness in Montgomery County, MD.  Threshold
Services’ mission is to help people with mental illness or co-occurring mental illness and
substance use disorders to lead fulfilling lives by providing treatment, rehabilitation and
housing, and by promoting a caring community through advocacy and education.
