This summer see Israel through Or-Olam, a program for blind and partially sighted students from all over the world.
An unforgettable Israel experience that will provide a forum for visually impaired Jewish teens (14 - 21.)
You can experience Israel, traveling throughout the country, Meeting young Israelis and appreciating every nook and cranny of the country.
This summer Or-Olam will ensure a summer of independence and growth for Jewish blind and partially-sighted teens in Israel. Or-Olam, (Light to the World) will offer an exciting program for three weeks in July and August tailored to the needs of the visually impaired. Enjoy an introduction to the magnificent sights and sounds and smells of Israel as well as facilities at the Jewish Institute for the Blind camp that will emphasize skills for independence.
 
Participants will fly to Israel for an exciting three weeks where participants will be based in the dormitories at the Jewish Institute for the Blind (JIB), centrally located in Jerusalem. The program will focus on the rehabilitative, therapeutic and educational - social aspect of visiting Israel with a group of one's peers. Tours, intensive sports activities in the JIB's modern Sports Center and a camp and army experience will round out the summer program.
Israeli participants will include teens from all over the country that participate in Yachad, or Youth Together, a program for visually impaired and blind students who have been mainstreamed in the regular educational system. These students meet in summer and on holidays, and they are looking forward to meeting the newcomers from abroad.
In addition to touring all over Israel, the participants will be introduced to various programs for visual impairment: 
*The Israel Guide Dog Center
*The Hebrew University Preparatory Program
*'Beit Halochem' (IDF veterans center)
