Operation Understanding DC’s mission is to build a future generation of African American and Jewish community leaders who promote respect, understanding and cooperation while working to eradicate racism, anti-Semitism and all forms of discrimination.

 
THE PROGRAM:  Every year, up to 32 outstanding Jewish and Black high school juniors from the Washington, DC metropolitan area are selected to participate in this 15-month long, educational leadership development program of biweekly classes, cultural activities, travel/study and facilitation and public speaking training.

Hours: Mon-Fri, 10-6

Eligibility: Jewish or African American high school juniors in the Metro-Washington Area

Fees: No charge for participation/ Contributions accepted
