Travel for 10-days with Israeli friends and staff who share the beauty, excitement and complexities of their country with you. Meet with Israeli figures that are shaping Israel today. Hike in spectacular nature areas of Israel. From a meeting with residents of the Golan, to Bedouin hospitality in the desert, to an archeological dig, from the liveliness of Tel Aviv, to the diversity and spirituality of Jerusalem, experience the history, the vibrancy and the challenges of Modern Israel. Eligibility: Grads and young professionals ages 22-26, living in the Washington, DC area, Jewish, never been to Israel on an organized peer program. Contact Shai Lamdan for more information. Organized by The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.

 


A Birthright Israel trip has been created specifically for Jewish Communal Service professionals. November 2003 around the dates of the General Assembly in Jerusalem for teachers, youth directors and advisors and Jewish communal service workers are eligible as long as they are between 18-26 years old, never been to Israel on an organized program and they are not students registered full time in Jewish Studies programs in any institute of higher learning. Full time has a preference at this point, part time are still on a waiting list but should be optimistic that there is a good chance that they will be eligible as well (they should start with the registration process as well).

Hours: Mon-Fri, 9-5

Fees: $250 deposit refunded at end of trip.
