Calendar Master: Sharon Doner

Calendar is comprised of submitted major events for Jewish and some non-Jewish organizations for 18 months. The calendar is maintained to try to prevent conflicts in scheduling events.
Calendar is available to review and to submit calendar reservation forms at www.shalomdc.org.  
One can look at the calendar and submit new events right on line.
The calendar is updated three times a week. 

JEWISH COMMUNITY CALENDAR INSTRUCTIONS
 
To place your events on the Jewish Community Calendar (on the Federation website)
 
1.	Go to www.shalomdc.org 
2.	Click on Community Calendar
3.	On the upper left hand side of the next screen, you will see  
4.	Click on this 
5.	A form will come up.  Please complete the form in this manner (following the outline).   On the first line that says Event Title:  (below are 2 examples)
             7:30 PM  JCC of Greater Washington: Interfaith Workshop
               or        
            8 PM  JCC of Greater Washington -Bender Dosik Parenting Center:  Family Picnic
 Please try to remember to put the TIME, then your ORGANIZATION'S ENTIRE NAME, then the EVENT TITLE.
6.	Be sure and mark as many CATEGORIES as best describe your program:
Example for the event above:  Mark  3 categories  JCC, Maryland, Interfaith, Handicapped Accessible
 Also, if you could be sure and list your name, phone number and e-mail address in the Contact Information space.   Anything you put in the OTHER Section will not show up on the community calendar.  The location is usually not listed if it a private home - that is why it is important to put your name and phone number.
6.	After you complete the form, click on SUBMIT 
7.	You will receive a notification when your event has been posted to the calendar.
