Program/Service Notes:

Volunteer based free program aimed at people who are facing a life-threatening illness;  Match up volunteers with clients to provide companionship, transportation, respite for families, errands, chores and general assistance such as making a meal.

Coordinator visits client 1-2 a month to assess them for community links.
Volunteers are well trained through a hospice program.
Do not have to be a client of JSSA.

Program Details:

Hours: Tues, Wed, Thurs 9-4

Eligibility: Anyone can use the service. Coordinator will contact physician to see if individual meets the criteria.

Fees: No cost

Service Area: Montgomery County; NW DC and western part of PG county.

Intake Process: Just contact coordinator
