Program/Service Notes:

24 membership groups in DC, Montgomery and Prince George's meet for educational, social and fund raising meetings/events. Chapter provides area-wide programs-many of which are open to the public. Groups for all ages from day time programs, evening and weekend programs. Galil Hadassah for single women ages 35-55. Call office for appropriate group.
Supports the Hadassah Hospitals at Ein Kerem and Mt. Scopus in Jerusalem and the Young Judea Youth Movement, Hadassah College of Technology in Jerusalem, Hadassah Career Counseling Institute and Youth Aliyah villages.  Also provides seminars on a variety of women's health issues, free Hebrew classes, Training Wheels - a pre-school workshop focusing on Jewish holidays and customs, American Affairs, tutoring in the public schools and the local political scene. Local volunteer opportunities include fund raising, training wheels teacher, Check It Out Breast Cancer Awareness volunteer, and office assistance.
Trees are available through Jewish National Fund for $15 a tree.  Also sell other certificates for memory or honoring or special occasion that benefit Hadassah medical organizations, youth aliyah and other special Hadassah projects.
