Participants live in Jewish communities or Arab villages in Israel, conduct a variety o programs such as day camps, educational, cultural and social activities. Non- Israeli Internships are awarded to those with an Israel experience of a year or more and an advanced level of Hebrew, prior to joining IFP.  Individuals from abroad are asked to first join for about six months, who do not have these qualifications, may attain them, by joining Sherut La Am or the WUJS program in Arad, to advance their Hebrew and adjust to Israel as an effective community worker Intern in a Partnership 2000 region. In parallel, Diaspora Israeli Arabs have a pre-IFP orientation in Israeli Arab communities before their field Internships. IFP expects North Americans to seek sponsors in USA. Israeli internships have been primarily for Israeli Jews and Israeli Arabs and are for a full year. For those from outside of Israel there are opportunities to be a community work Intern, which is also for a full year.  IFP Israeli Interns primarily conduct ECAT Educator and Activist Training curriculum and practicum to teach emotional intelligence, empathy for another ethnic group and unite youth in road safety and ecology. The non-Israeli Intern assists in coordinating training.  Participants live in Jewish communities or Arab villages in Israel, conduct a variety of programs such as day camps, education, cultural, and social through the arts, education, sports, workplace, community and women united.

Two new Diaspora Internship Options: (developed with Paul & Sarah Denson Fund)
The 1st new Diaspora Internship Training option is field organizing, with the Israeli NGO, HILA, indigenous community based parent committees, especially among the discriminated and marginalized sections of the society, Non/Orthodox Jews, Ethiopian & Russian Jews, Israeli Arab Parents, to empower them to reduce differences, ethnic and religious divisions and improve the educational opportunities of young people.  
The 2nd new Diaspora Internship Training option is field organizing, with the Israeli NGO MATOUN, which brings Israeli Jewish and Israeli Arab municipalities and regional councils together to non- violently advocate for equal delivery of services for improved road safety in their shared region.

Concerning Internships from the Diaspora and Abroad:
 The general policy of Interns For Peace Training Group is to train indigenous and Diaspora community peace workers, as the best social change agent is someone from the same affinity group. IFP welcomes Diaspora Palestinians, Jordanians, Iraqis etc to return to their own country to be part of IFP training of their country's natural leaders from the grassroots as role models of economic self-help and mentors of transforming hate to tolerance. Diaspora Jews and Diaspora Israeli Arabs can return to Israel under the following Internship program.
