The Greater Washington community hosts a group of Israeli disabled soldiers both male and female once a year for two weeks.  Always searching for host families. Veterans meet together for breakfast and then tour during the day and then in the evening have other activities.
 When our community hosts these veterans, it brings home the real cost in human terms of Israel's struggle to survive.  These soldiers have paid the price in pain and suffering and are an inspiration to anyone whose lives they touch.  This program has done so much to bring the wonderful feeling of solidarity between the disabled Israeli veterans and the Washington Jewish community.

Hours: Various activities during the year

Eligibility: Most Jewish families are eligible to participate. Must have a private room for the veteran.

Fees: No cost to the veteran or the host family. Organization raises funds to cover all costs including air fare for the veterans.
