National Zionist youth movement sponsored by Hadassah;special activities, summer camps, and Israel programs, including local club meetings, 5 yearly conventions.  Offers social and informal education programs geared to build Jewish identity and instill pride in that identity. 
Israel summer trips for high school students.  No travel programs within US.  Local Young Judaea group for the Greater Washington area meets at the JCC of Greater Washington.  Regional programs such as conventions depending upon the age group.

Fax 845-557-3361, the national senior leadership camp of Young Judaea, is deeply committed to Jewish and Zionist values and tradition. Through a dynamic combination of athletics, arts and crafts, performing arts, and other activities, campers discover the wonders of Israel and their Jewish heritage, develop an understanding of what it means to be a part of a community, and learn about themselves as individuals.  Camp Tel Yehudah is kosher and Shomer Shabbat. 
Located on the Delaware River in Barryville, New York, Camp Tel Yehudah’s beautiful 120-acre site features lush green lawns, shady wooded areas, and wide open spaces for activities. 

SUMMER PROGRAMS FOR TEENS - for students finishing 9-12 grades

Explore the culture, history, land and people which make up Israel. Befriend Israelis and participants from all over the U.S., Canada & Great Britain.

Hebrew ULPAN - 5 week Hebrew language program. Learn from certified Israeli instructors in the mornings and put your Hebrew to use during afternoon field trips. Perfect your Israeli accent! A great option for students who already did a teen trip to Israel and can't wait to go back! College language credits available.

Nitzanim - 5 1/2 week travel program. Special Interest Week allows participants to choose from 9 options and do something completely different from the rest of their group for the week. Macabbiah, a 2-day beach party, is "the perfect ending to a perfect summer." Earn college credits.

Nofim - 3 week travel program. Choice of two summer sessions makes Nofim ideal for those with other summer committments. Earn college credits. Nofim Bet includes Macabbiah.

Ma'apilim - 5 1/2 week travel program, starting in ITALY! Includes Special Interest Week & Macabbiah. college credits available.

Sepharadim - 5 1/2 week travel program, starting in SPAIN! Includes Special Interest Week & Macabbiah. college credits available.

Shorashim - 5 1/2 week travel program, starting in PRAGUE! Includes Special Interest Week & Macabbiah. college credits available.

***Teens living in the Greater Washington area are automatically eligible for a $1000 grant from IsraelQuest, with up to $1000 more in matching funds.

 

YEAR COURSE IN ISRAEL- for recent high school graduates

Study, volunteer and live in Israel in a variety of settings and locations. Earn a full year of college credits from the University of Judaism in Bel Air, CA.

Classic Year Course - Three 3-month semesters: Community Volunteering - live in an apartment in the Tel Aviv area, study Hebrew several mornings-a-week, take weekly field trips and volunteer each day in the neighborhood to become a part of the local community! Jerusalem Academics - earn the bulk of your college credits while using Israel as the Living Classroom - much of the class time is in the field, experiencing Israel first-hand. Israeli Experience - choose from a variety of options where to live and what kind of volunteering to do. Options include: Marva army program, MADA certified asst. paramedics program, firefighters, Navy program, Safari, Masada, Eilat Underwater Observatory, kibbutz or moshav, Etgarim Adventure Therapy, and soooooo much more!

Year Course OLAMI - An optional add-on course on the history of Zionism, Aliyah and the Immigrant Experience. Travel to seven countries worldwide while still experiencing all three semesters of Classic Year Course: France, England, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Morocco and Ethopia. Return from Ethiopia to Israel with a plane full of new olim, Ethiopian immigrants!

Shevet - Means "TRIBE." A religious enrichment program that encourages partipants to explore Jewish belief and practice in an open-Orthodox framework. Weekly Q&A with an Orthodox rabbi, experience the wide range of Orthodox tfilot (prayer services) in Israel, Mitzvah of the Week program, special holiday and Shabbat celebrations, learning opportunities and more! Do Shevet and Olami for the full experience!

Shalem - Sh'nat Limud Uma'aseh - A Modern-Orthodox program under the umbrella of Year Course. Earn a full year of college credits while learning limudei kodesh, exploring Israel and doing chesed!

 

HAMAGSHIMIM PROGRAMS - for college students and graduates

Gain a deeper understanding of the language and society of Israel.

Amirim - 4 to 6 week volunteer program for college students and recent grads. Live in apartments in the Tel Aviv area and volunteer in the local community. Weekly field trips around the country and one three-day camping/hiking trip. Perfect for Birthright-Israel alumni! Volunteer experience looks great on your work resume and grad school applications!

The WUJS Institute - 5-month volunteer and study program based in Arad. Study Hebrew, Jewish and Israeli topics. Weekly field seminars will broaden your understanding of Israel. Living in Arad, a very "Israeli" city, is a wonderful way to experience Israeli life. Whether you are considering Aliyah or just interested in spending time in Israel, WUJS is a truly phenomenal program. For college graduates, ages 21-35.

The Arts Program - A special track of the WUJS program allows artists the time and space to work and grow artistically. Israeli artists as mentors, opportunities to show/perform throughout Israel, and a published book showcasing your work. Arad is an artist colony and the cultural hub of the desert.

Peace and Social Justice Program - Special volunteer option within WUJS. First session is spent with Main Track in Arad studying Hebrew, Jewish and Israeli topics. Second session is doing a volunteer internship in an Israeli organization. Many of the options are with peace and social justice organizations, but not all.
