Council of participating Orthodox congregations and Rabbis.
The Va'ad of Washington - approving source of kosher facilities; maintains a BET DIN for dealing with matters affecting family status, i.e. adoption in accordance with Jewish law,  and divorce, adjudication and/or arbitration of financial disputes, and other services essential to the traditional Jewish community.  Supervises the communal mikvah. Maintains the city wide chevra kadisha providing essential services for the deceased. Symbol for kosher (K) with a dome around it. Members include: Rabbi Hillel Klavan, Rabbi Shaya Milikowsky, Rabbi Yosef Singer, Rabbi Avrohom Sussman, Rabbi Kalman Winter, Rabbi Gedaliah Anemer, Rabbi Jack Bieler, Rabbi Barry Freundel,  Rabbi Samuel Kawior, Rabb Joel Tessler,  Rabbi Breitowitz, Rabbi Dovid Rosenbaum, and Rabbi Eliezer Kreiser.   Suburban Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital have kosher hospital menus approved.
