The Hebrew Day School is an Orthodox K-6 community day school located in the Kemp Mill neighborhood of Silver Spring, Maryland. HDS focuses on the needs of the whole child and the child’s individual learning style. Provides a nurturing environment in which graduates are prepared for the most rigorous academic programs in both Judaic and general studies. Our strong academic program, emphasis on Derech Eretz, character development, and the teaching of Jewish values, combined with a love for Am Yisrael (the people of Israel) and Medinat Yisrael (the State of Israel), encourage creative and critical thinking skills in every student. Teachers, administrators, parents and students work together to put Torah values and Derech Eretz into daily practice.
