Central community relations and public affairs arm representing over 200 affiliated Jewish organizations and congregations in the Greater Washington area.  Advocates on behalf of the Jewish human service agency system, public policy concerns, and Israel and International Jewry.  Clearinghouse for security information for Jewish institutions.  Education symposia held annually to sensitize educators to the needs of Jewish public school students.  Issues several publications including Guidelines on Religion in Public Schools.  Hosts a number of annual events to strengthen relationships with legislators.  Usually holds a Yom Hashoah and Yom Haazmaut event.
