Community Partners was created in response to an emerging trend called “Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities” or NORCs.  As people live longer, they choose to remain in their homes for as long as possible.  When a significant number of people in a neighborhood begin to “age in place” this is referred to as a NORC.  Community Partners was created to serve targeted NORC neighborhoods in order to  support the concept of aging in place.  Warm Up America volunteer program

Hours: Mon-Fri, 9-5

Eligibility: Seniors living in the following buildings: University Towers, The Forum, The Pavilion, Congressional Tower, The Warwick, Fallswood, Old Georgetown Village.

Fees: For some events

Service Area: Certain buildings in Kemp Mill, Rockville

Intake Process: Call or speak to the building coordinator

Operating Agency: The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington (Private, Non-Profit)
