The voluntary Jewish community federation of greater Baltimore. THE ASSOCIATED's mission is to preserve & enhance Jewish life. Its various agencies address the charitable, educational, religious, humanitarian, health, cultural & social service needs of the Jewish community locally, nationally, in Israel and throughout the world. Sister cities are Karmiel-Misgav, Israel and Odessa, Ukraine. Operates the following agencies: Baltimore Hebrew University, Baltimore Jewish Council (BJC), Center for Jewish Education (CJE), CHAI (Comprehensive Housing Assistance, Inc.), Darrell D. Friedman Institute for Professional Development at the Weinberg Center (DFI), Hebrew Burial and Social Services Society, (HBSS) Hebrew Free Loan Association of Baltimore (HFL) Hillel of Greater Baltimore (HILLEL), Hillel - College Park, Jewish Big Brother/Big Sister League (JBB/BSL), Jewish Community Center - Park Heights, Jewish Community Center - Owings Mills,  Jewish Family Services (JFS), Jewish Museum of Maryland, Jewish Vocational Service, Jewish Volunteer Connection, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Maryland Israel Development Center, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Inc. Also operates numerous programs such as: Young Leadership, Pearlstone Conference Center, Project CHANA, etc.
