The Maryland Jewish Alliance is a legislative coalition of THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore, the Baltimore Jewish Council (BJC), the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and the Jewish Community Council of Greater Washington (JCCGW). The federations serve as the central coordinating and fund-raising bodies of their respective communities and are responsible for financially -supporting a network of agencies which provide a wide array of services. The BJC and JCCGW are the community relations and political arms of these federations. The Alliance represents the federations, their agencies, and the Jewish community at large. 

The Alliance maintains a full-time presence in Annapolis during the legislative session and works closely with the legislature and our coalition partners on a variety of social, cultural, religious, and economic issues, many of which concern the welfare of all Marylanders. 

Examples of services provided by Maryland's organized Jewish community:
• full range of counseling services to children, families and individuals
• assisted living facilities and other programs for the elderly
• group homes for the developmentally disabled 
• vocational services for New Americans
• recreational and cultural activities
• educational opportunities
• community relations
• housing assistance
• nursing homes
• hospitals
