The Academy for Jewish Religion is a rabbinical school and cantorial school for klal Yisrael.  Since its founding in 1956, AJR has been at the forefront of pluralistic rabbinic and cantorial training.  Our graduates and students serve both movement-affiliated and non-affiliated congregations in North America and around the world, fulfilling the needs of klal Yisrael in this post-denominational era.

Program Details:

Hours: Mon-Thurs, 9-6

Person In Charge: Executive Vice President:Dr. Ora Horn Prouser

Eligibility: All applicants for a program leading to Ordination must be Jewish according to the following definition: Either the biological mother of the applicant is Jewish, or the applicant has undergone conversion through a bona fide Bet Din with tevilah and milah or hatafat dam brit, as appropriate. The spouse or partner of an applicant to a program leading to Ordination must also be Jewish.
