Program/Service Notes:

The Bar/Bat Mitzvah twinning experience is a unique opportunity to carry on the tradition of uniting Jews around the world, pairing B'nai and B'not Mitzvah with their peers in the former Soviet Union.  Information about backgrounds, interests and families is shared.

This experience will have meaning to the young people in the FSU, letting them know that they are not forgotten and they are cared about.  They will come to understand that even though thousands of miles separate them, Jews are one people.

If you are interested in twinning for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, please contact the CASJ office and request an application.  The program fee of $50.00 includes the Twinning Guide, an international postal coupon (for use by the FSU twin to respond) and a certificate of twinning plus translation of letters received in Russian, if necessary.
