Jews United for Justice's mission is to organize a visible Jewish presence and take action for economic and social justice in the Washington, DC area. JUFJ provides Jews with an opportunity to weave together their Judaism and activism, and creates a community in which they can explore and strengthen their commitments to both.  

JUFJ's programs include actions on campaigns, reflection through text study, and community building through a variety of programs and holiday events.  JUFJ's members range from teenagers to senior citizens, are affiliated and unaffiliated, and live across the Greater Washington, DC metro area.

Objectives: Acting, Reflecting, Building Community:
Broaden and deepen support for existing struggles for racial and economic justice by: 
working in partnership with other community organizations, and organizing Jewish participation in local actions. 

Raise issues of racial and economic justice within organized Jewish life for the purpose of: educating the Jewish community and instilling a commitment to organizing for social change in addition to community service projects. Help Jews understand Judaism's commitment to social justice by sponsoring the study of text sources that demonstrate the deep roots of Jewish social conscience and action.

Hours: Mon-Thurs, 9-6:30/ Fri 9-5
