Program/Service Notes:

Due to the security situation over the past few years, Israel's emergency services have been under great strain.  To provide extra manpower, the Jewish Agency has been encouraging Jewish students and young adults from abroad to serve as voluntary paramedics at Magen David Adom stations in Israel.  The program gives participants the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to Israeli society while exposing them to local employment and study options.

The program includes a one-week first aid training course followed by two months of voluntary work.

Eligibility: Jewish students and young adults from abroad.

Fees: Funding Needs: $1,600 contribution will allow your community to support a student from Argentina, including airfare, training ad small stipend. $1,200 contribution will allow your community to support a student from South Africa including airfare, training ad small stipend. $900 contribution will allow your community to support a student from France. $1,500 contribution will allow your community to support a student from the rest of the world (UK, USA, Australia and Eastern Europe).
