Director, Special Needs and Disability Services: Lenore Layman

Chaverim Connection is a Jewish big/brother big/sister program where typical teens and college students will be matched 1 – 1 or 2 – 1 with Jewish children, teens or young adults with disabilities.  Volunteers will make a twice a month commitment to visit and spend time with their “friend” in the home of the individual with special needs.  
The fundamental objective of the Chaverim Connection volunteer program is to foster friendships between students in the Greater Washington DC area with children, teens and young adults that have special needs.  
All volunteers will attend a two-hour training session.  The program will start in mid-November and run until May, 2007.

Hours: Mon-Fri, 9-5
